Dry Rot Repair & Siding Replacement
This home in Eugene had extensive water damage beneath a sliding glass door and around the outdoor water heater storage area. After identifying the source of the issues—leaks from a failed hose bib and a previously replaced water heater—we got to work repairing the damage.
We removed the affected window, opened up the wall, and repaired all dry rot-damaged framing. The area was then properly sealed with a vapor barrier before we installed new siding around the window and sliding door. We also added new belly boards under the slider for a clean, finished look.
To ensure a long-lasting seal, we caulked the area multiple times before reinstalling window trim and repainting the siding to match the home. A licensed plumber was brought in to fix the leaking hose bib, preventing future moisture issues. This comprehensive repair not only solved the immediate problem but also helped protect the structure from further water damage.
