Dry Rot Damaged Deck and Stair Repair

Rain and storm water run off from the hillside behind this home  caused damage to their deck, most significantly to the structural support posts.  M3maintenance was hired by the customer to rebuild and fix their deck and staircase. 

In order to help protect the new structure, the first priority was to ensure proper water runoff and prevent water from pooling underneath the deck.  We put down aggregate gravel and an extended drain downspout to funnel the rain runoff out and away from the house.

Next we removed all the damaged sections of the deck with dry rot wood and replaced it with pressure treated lumber to extend the life of the new deck.
